New finance team appointment at Principle as business continues growth

An experienced finance specialist has joined Principle Estate Management, the UK’s fastest growing residential management company, as a service charge accountant.

Kirsty Clinton joins Principle from global real estate specialists Savills, when she looked after the finances for a large commercial and mixed-use property portfolio.

Ms Clinton has spent nearly eight years in the finance sector and has previously worked at a number of established companies, including electrical supplies distributor Rexel UK.

She is qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians and has experience of working with the Qube PM technology, which is in full use at Principle.

Paul Richardson, finance manager at Principle, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Kirsty after she stood out in our interviews with all the skills we need.

“She will fit into the team well as she comes with plenty of commercial and mixed-use property experience.

“This is great for us as we are expanding our offering to commercial management, having increased our portfolio by over 50 properties this year.

“A lot of commercial landlords trade their properties adding regularly to their portfolios and, with that in mind, Kirsty is used to interrogating handover information from other agents.

“With Principle’s continual influx of properties from a variety of agents, this will be a useful skillset for us.”

Mr Richardson added: “As we continue to grow, we must continue to keep up with recruitment.

“We now have over 250 service charge sites within the portfolio and our system is set up to be very slick for processing budgets and end of year accounts, but there is still a need for good quality personnel.”

Ms Clinton, from Birmingham, is a keen swimmer, hiker and runner who loves cooking for friends and hosting dinner parties. She also enjoys the unusual hobby of building computers.

She said: “I’m pleased to be joining Principle and am looking forward to using my experience on commercial and mixed-use property management.

“I’m also keen to expand my knowledge on the residential service charge side.”
